All of us should pay heed to the RYA article drawing attention to the likely requirement to stop using Red Diesel for propulsion of leisure craft. You can read the article via this link:

The point, for all keelboat owners, is that the EU is cancelling the UK's current practice of allowing the use of Red Diesel for yacht propulsion - even though the correct duty is paid, normally on the basis of a 60/40 split between propulsion and boat-heating. White Diesel is likely to be available only at larger marinas and small harbour supplies of Red Diesel (for fishing boats, etc) will no longer be legal for use in leisure craft. The RYA article gives details of how to submit protests to HMRC.

The closing date for submissions is 9th September. Don't miss the opportunity.
