JUNIOR NOVICES / INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED SAILING

                             

ALL PLACES ARE NOW ALLOCATED FOR THE 2010 SEASON

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN OFFERED A PLACE OR ARE RETURNING PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:

A registration evening will be held at the Sailing Club on Tuesday 27th April:

Tuesday night group from 6pm to 6.45pm

Monday night group from 6.45 to 7.30pm

On the water training will then commence from

Monday 3rd May til Tues 29th June,

then after the Summer break will  commence on

Mon 16th Aug til Tues 7th September

The course will cater for all levels of experience from complete novice to those who have the RYA Young Sailors Advanced Sailing (Red) award.  Activities will include novice training, upgrading of existing qualifications and fun & games whatever the weather.

Training will start at 1745hrs with all participants to be changed, rigged and ready to go at 6pm.  The finish will be 1930hrs approx

The cost of the courses are as follows:

Mondays/Tuesdays :

Students using club boats £100        Students with own boat £80

Parents of students under 12 on the 1st of March 2010 must have membership of HSC.  Children over 12 on 1st of March 2010 must take out Cadet Membership of HSC if their parents are not members.  Full membership details are available in the clubhouse or here

This year we are going to separate the training over 2 nights and would confirm the training will take place on Monday and Tuesday evenings.

 

Training will start at 1745hrs and finish at 2000hrs daily. 

 

Mondays:  -  for more experienced sailors level 3 or above sailing their own toppers

 

Tuesdays:  -  beginners and up to level 3 in optimists, picos, some in their own toppers

                 

 

Parents of students under 12 on the 1st of March 2009 must have membership of HSC.  Children over 12 on 1st of March 2009 must take out Cadet Membership of HSC if their parents are not members.  Full membership details are available in the clubhouse or on request.

 

There is also an option for those more experienced sailors to join the club and take part in the Wednesday night and Sunday afternoon racing.  Wed evenings commenced on April 16th with racing starts from approx 7pm.  Sundays are starting from approx 1330.
