Hermitage Academy pupils have competed in this yachting and hill running competition with much success for a dozen years.

 

During a long weekend, competitors are required to sail from Oban to Troon via Mull, Jura and Arran.  En route, a small team is landed on each island to run over 15-20 miles of fell.

 

The school team has already been in training for this year`s event for some weeks now but find themselves unexpectedly without a boat.

 

Is there a club member or friend with a yacht preferably of 36ft or more who might be interested in helping young people meet this tough challenge by taking part?

 

The race takes place 16 - 18 May.  All expenses plus a bit and victualling would be looked after by the school.
